UIL was selected by the MBTA to evaluate and improve proposed roadway, bus, pedestrian, and bicycle circulation designs at Sullivan Square Station. These traffic improvements were developed as part of roadway upgrades for the Wynn Casino mitigation.
Working iteratively with numerous departments within the MBTA, UIL developed a plan that was acceptable to those responsible for bus operations, route planning, parking, and accessibility, while maintaining the potential for future TOD. The design simplified bus circulation, increased the number of bus berths, and provided increased accessibility, while minimizing impact to the number of parking spaces.
