Urban Idea Lab is the bridge architect for this project, working as a subconsultant to AECOM to provide alternative designs for this deteriorating bridge on the Fort Point Channel. The new bridge will reconnect the Downtown with the Seaport for pedestrians and bicyclists, and potentially transit vehicles. The new bridge will also restore the HarborWalk connection that was broken when the bridge was closed to pedestrian traffic in 2014.
